Keynote presentation from Deloitte, setting the baseline understanding of the problem and proposed solutions, as well as sharing the results of the preparatory survey. What is the status quo today? What are the challenges of intermodal, transportation trends, and growing pressures on shippers and LSPs to improve the sustainability of their logistics operations? What are the typical challenges, obstacles and trade offs with (intermodal) transportation?
Participants will break out into stakeholder groups to identify specific obstacles to increasing Intermodal Transportation. The group will then come together again to align on the challenges to be focused on in the afternoon session.
Dirk will bring his unique expert perspective on his experiences at BLS Cargo, in terms of the critical bottlenecks that BLS encounters, possible improvements to the intermodal value proposition, key success factors in the relationship between shipper and LSPs / network operators and more.
The stakeholder groups will be mixed up and break into new groups to brainstorm solutions to the challenges identified, with possible rotations. Deloitte will then share a framework for individually developing short, medium and long-term solutions.
Deloitte will close the event, inviting participants to reflect on the day and commit to turning the framework into individual company plans.
